Modern, fresh feel...housemade focaccia stands out

Area: About 400m west of Fushimi Station, along Hirokoji Dori (just east of the river)
Restaurant: Royal Garden Cafe ロイヤルガーデンカフェ

Hours:  11:00am - 11:00pm (Lunch 11:00am-3pm)

With the wooden furniture and spacious atmosphere, this cafe really does have a countryside, garden feel where you can relax while your munching.  The lunch menu of course has a pasta (980円), and a curry lunch (950円), but you can also choose from a salad lunch (1000円), pizza lunch (1200円) and main dish lunch.  Today's main dish was meatloaf (1380円).  Feeling healthy, I went for the salad; roasted sqaush, tuna and mushrooms.  The dressing was a light Italian olive oil-based one.  It was actually filling due to the size and the abundance of canned tuna, but nothing really stands out about itl.  Housemade focaccia, a drink and soup were included in this set.  I'd like to give mention to the bread, and with the olive oil free to use at table side, I quite enjoyed it.  This focaccia somehow had the flavor of macadamia nuts.  I'm not sure what's actually used in the recipe, but who doesn't like macadamia nuts?

Even though this lunch was simple, it was done well, and I would like to come back to try some of their other fare.
